One can quibble about Dempsey's ferocity, Marciano's relentlessness, and Liston's jab.

The Age of the Supersized Heavyweights is here and it’s not going away. One can quibble about Jack Dempsey’s ferocity, Rocky Marciano’s relentlessness, and Sonny Liston’s jab, but bigger, while not always better, is at the same time nothing to sneeze at, as Wladimir Klitschko, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Deontay Wilder can attest. In advance of Saturday’s title fight between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32 KOs), aka The Bronze Bomber, hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Eric “Drummer Boy” Molina (23-2, 17 KOs), from Raymondville, Texas, Showtime has released ALL ACCESS: Deontay Wilder. There’s not much to say about Molina, except that his manager is as courageous as he is. But Showtime revisits Wilder’s championship fight with Bermane Stiverne, which if not a performance for the ages, certainly qualifies as a performance of the age…

    Wilder will be just like another big, black heavyweight from the Deep South, named John Tate. He won’t hold the title for long.
