Long awaited clash has been confirmed at light welterweight. Tyrone Nurse (35-2-2) will defend his British title against the highly touted Jack Catterall (18-0). It will take place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Nurse is incredibly stylish and awkward to fight but lacks real power. Catterall is just as classy and has real power which gives him the edge here. It is a classy bout in a packed domestic division. The division could soon see all four titles held by one man who may vacate, leaving four titles available to fight for.

The middleweight title will also be contested for at some point in the near future. Jack Arnfield (24-2) is the mandatory for Tommy Langford (18-1). Terms have been agreed with the date and venue to be announced. Arnfield beat Brian Rose last time out while Langford lost out to Avantil Khurtsidze in a bout which would have won him a world title shot. I actually think Langford is a bit better than Arnfield and has far more potential.

The picture surrounding the British Light Heavyweight has also become clearer. Frank Buglioni (20-2-1) will take on Callum Johnson (16-0). Johnson is the Commonwealth champion and also won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. This is a big step up for Johnson who has only fought three boxers with a winning record. Joe Gallagher also confirmed that Hosea Burton (19-1) will have an eliminator against power punching Anthony Yarde (12-0).
