I wonder about the bad scoring in boxing. What’s happening is what’s been going on for decades,(and maybe longer) is the promoters! You have Top Rank, Golden Boy, and of course the most greedy of them all, Don King! Then you have all these sanctioning bodies that claim to have the world champ. There can only be one champ, but the promoters are so greedy they can never come to terms because one wants more than the other. The prospect that each promoter has is going to win, and have their records padded, even if they clearly lose, barring a KO. The other is that, in the amateurs these guys are not taught any basics whatsoever. If you have speed in the amateurs you’re likley to win, but when you get to the pros they lack the basic skills to succeed. Do you know of any Olympic Gold Medalist from the U.S lately?
