Those who love him will love him even more. Those who hate him will gnash their teeth.

With a degree of fanfare more suited to the Coronation of a King, Showtime Sports recently broadcast “30 Days in May,” its somewhat worshipful documentary on Floyd Mayweather. This doc has something for everyone. Those who love Money May will love him even more. Those who hate him will gnash their teeth. But for citizens from the Land of Whatever, the documentary is what it is, just as it is what it is not. Much is made of Floyd’s incarceration and his insistence on his innocence. That’s neither here nor there. Also, Showtime began filming right after the fight with Miguel Cotto, so the deal of deals, with its attendant pomp and circumstance, has been in the works for a long time. Still, when all is said and done, Floyd Mayweather is Floyd Mayweather. And it is as he says: “I’m black, I’m rich, and I’m outspoken…”
