Awards are always controversial and even more so in boxing. Many reputable outlets chose Floyd Mayweather as Fighter of the Year for 2013. He had a great year. He is also the sentimental favorite. But was he the Fighter of the Year and by what criteria? Also in the running were Guillermo Rigondeaux, Timothy Bradley, and Danny Garcia, all of whom proved themselves worthy of that lofty title.     Rick Strom said about Rigondeaux: »HBO even struggles to draw crowds.« Now, what exactly did they do to achieve that goal? Anyone? I see rather dismarketing than marketing in this case.
