Eddie Hearn has been talking about expanding to the US for years and has taken his biggest step towards that goal.

Aligned with HBO, Hearn announced the huge signing of former world champion Daniel Jacobs (32-2). His first fight will come on November 11. Last time we saw Jacobs, he took Gennady Golovkin all the way, losing a controversial tight decision. The Miracle Man is of course one of boxing’s best stories giving his rebound from cancer and Hearn will be desperate to bring him a second world title reign.

His manager Keith Connolly described it as “the best move for his career” while Jacobs says it will be “a new beginning for my career.”

controversial decision my ass. GGG was fighting a cruiserweight. When is this love of Jacobs going to become real. If he were not from NYC we would not hear much about him.
