Roy Jones KO’d in Moscow
The loss to Lebedev is Jones’ third straight, and his fourth loss in his last six fights

Former pound-for-pounder Roy Jones Jr. (54-8, 40 KOs) continues to fight and tarnish his reputation.

Saturday night at the Sport Complex Krylatskoe in Moscow, Russia, the 43-year-old Jones, fighting at cruiserweight, got it on with 31-year-old Denis Lebedev (22-1,17 KOs).

In a fight that was neither highly touted nor anticipated, Jones leaned against the ropes for most of the fight and Lebedev landed at will against his bobbing and weaving—and defenseless—opponent.

With just seconds remaining in the bout, Lebedev connected with four solid left hooks. Jones knees buckled, he shook his head to indicate that he wasn’t hurt, and caught a final right before hitting the deck at 2:50 of the 10th and final round.

The loss to Lebedev is Jones’ third straight, and his fourth loss in his last six fights.

No doubt the Russians, with their attraction and repulsion to all things American, paid a pretty penny to see a living legend in action. But no matter how many rubles Jones pocketed, one has to ask if it was really worth it.

Can someone please have Roy Jones Jr. give me call @ 786 942 1624. I am a true fan of Roy, and it hurts me to see my “Main Man” hurt. I know that “baby gotta eat”, but Roy, I do not want to see you in a physical state like the “Greatest” (M. Ali) is now, when you can train another Florida Prodigy and get the same glory… Roy, you are one of the greatest that has dominated damn near all classes of the ring for years, so you have nothing to prove no longer and you will go down in history as one of the best. You may remember me from the b-ball tournaments in Tallahassee and my partner’s barber shop as well and my brother Ron Dugans…. just wishing you the best, Roy, from Lo!
