Another world title fight has been announced for the Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev card. Katie Taylor (6-0), one of the greatest amateurs of all time, will take on Anahi Sanchez (17-2) for the WBA Lightweight Title.

Taylor has stopped six of her opponents as a professional after her decorated amateur career which saw her win Olympic gold in 2012. It is probably a surprise to see it on the Joshua card as it could surely headline an Irish card.

Sanchez won her title on the weekend, stopping Cecilia Sofia Mena. It was her second world title after holding the IBF Super Featherweight title. She also held the WBA Interim Featherweight title. Her losses both came at Featherweight to Eve Wahlstrom and Maiva Hamadouche.

Taylor should be strong favorite. The speed with which this got announced suggests the Eddie Hearn had this one lined up before the weekend and believes the champion to be a softer touch. This makes the card three world title fights, a British title fight and a Commonwealth title fight. Expect the prospects to be the only additions to the card with maybe another heavyweight clash as well.
