Klitschko vs. Haye—At Last

This fight has been a long time coming and, with all the delays and prevarications, no one was sure it would ever come. But the unification bout between IBF/WHO heavyweight champion and WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is almost upon us, and expectations are running high.

This Saturday afternoon at 4:45 ET/1:45 PT, HBO broadcasts what we hope will be a competitive and exciting bout live from Hamburg, Germany.

There’s no love lost between Klitschko and Haye. We won’t know whether the animosity between the two fighters is real or not until the opening bell sounds, and maybe not even then, but at the very least, someone is going to get his head handed to him. It may be a replay of Haye’s scurrilous t-shirt, or a standard issue Klitschko dismantling of an opponent. But whatever transpires, the good thing is that it will start transpiring soon.
