WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao arrived at LAX Airport this afternoon with his trainer Freddie Roach, his conditioning coach Alex Ariza, and cornermen Buboy Fernandez and Nonoy Neri, and it was pandemonium.

With his three-week high altitude training camp in Baguio, Philippines, at an end, phase two of his training begins this week at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.

When asked how his training has been thus far, Pacquiao said, “Good. I’m good. I’m 80% condition right now. I think this is a very important fight for me. That’s why I trained early for this fight.”

Manny has been sparring with Jorge Linares in the Philippines, and he accompanied the champ to the U.S.

“He helped me a lot with Marquez’s style,” said Pacquiao, “and his style is a bit similar to Marquez.”

Pacquiao said he plans on spending the next four weeks working hard because “I need to be 100% for this fight.”
