IBF champion Lucian Bute (29-0) is the great unsung hero of the super middleweight division. That he wasn't included in the Showtime Super Six Boxing Classic was a good thing, certainly for Carl Froch, if not Andre Ward. The southpaw from Montreal via Romania won the IBF crown in 2007 and has successfully defended it eight times, with seven of those wins coming by early stoppage. Edison Miranda, aka Pantera, met 15-3-1 David Banks on Jan 11, 2008 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Miranda was 29-2 going in, but seemed to lose whenever he took a step up in class (Arthur Abraham in 2006 and Kelly Pavlik in 2007). Banks was a long-shot, but some thought he might be able to box his way to victory over the Colombian-born slugger. Think again...
