After stopping Danny Green last night, it looks like Antonio Tarver is back in the mix
Forty-two-year-old Antonio Tarver has done it again.
Tarver (29-6, 20 KOs) became a five-time world champion Wednesday night in Syndney, Australia, by defeating IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green (31-4, 27 KOs) with an early stoppage at the end of the ninth round.
“Danny fought a great fight,” Tarver said. “He hurt me twice, but I didn’t let him know it and I want to thank Danny for giving me the opportunity.
“Danny has to get healthy and get back in shape and, who knows, if he calls me I’m coming back (for a rematch).”
It looks like Antonio Tarver is back in the mix.
