If Mel Brooks could do it with The Producers, why shouldn’t Sylvester Stallone do it with Rocky?

The iconic boxing movie, which won an Academy Award in 1976 and turned many onto the sport for the first time, is headed for the stage.

Stallone has teamed up with Vitali and Wladmir Klitschko as co-produders of a musical based on the life and times, trials and tribulations, of Rocky Balboa.

“I always had the idea of Rocky as a musical,” said Stallone. “At the end of the day, Rocky is a love story and he could never have reached the final bell without Adrian.”

The Klitschkos grew up with Rocky when they were boys in Ukraine.

“Seeing Sylvester Stallone in Rocky when we were kids,” Wladimir said, “actually was the reason for us to start boxing in the first place. We are very excited to support this theatrical project.”

The Weltpremiere of Rocky the Musical will take place late next year in Hamburg, Germany, and will presumably be in German, which ought to put a whole new spin on the Italian Stallion.

Ach, Adrian!

PHD’s and all the K Bros are becoming too cute by far. One or both are ensconced in Beverly Hills and by the sound of this have gone Hollywood. BTW Vitali, that big brother taking up for little bro act only goes so far….forget Haye, try Mike Grant on for size…..guaranteed he will fight you….win lose or draw.
